Antique furniture store with Egyptian charm opens in Stirling

Elegant Imports is Hassan’s first store.

Originally from Alexandria, Egypt, and a Stirling resident the past four years, Hassan said the love for high-class furniture runs deep in his family.

At the 800 square-foot store, shoppers could expect to be indulged by reproductions from the 17th through the 19th centuries, particularly from the French Revolution era.

There are cabinets, display cases, side tables, chairs, lamps of all shapes and sizes, chandeliers, settees, sconces, among other items. Common materials include mahogany and gold wood.

Those looking for a bargain are strongly urged to shop at Elegant Imports, Hassan said, since similar furniture at other stores could cost as much as double what he charges.
